You don't have to be a DJ to mix music. Not if you use FutureDecks DJ, a software that can turn any computer user, no matter how experienced he is, into a professional DJ. You don't need to know anything about being a DJ, you just need to get familiar with the program's interface and that's it. The software is not just easy to use, it's also very easy to install. It can run without problems in any version of the Windows operating system. The system resources required for running the program are lower than average. The software takes up about 20 MB of hard disk space.

Regarding the software's interface, it resembles a professional DJ deck, but compared to it, this is much simpler to use. A DJ deck needs a lot of time to master, while the software can be used after spending a few minutes with its functions. Speaking about the program's functions, they are numerous and enough to please even an advanced DJ. Basically, the interface consists of two decks on which the user can load his preferred music files. The number of audio formats supported by FutureDecks DJ is quite impressive.

Afer having loaded the desired music files into both decks, the user can start playing one of them or both. FutureDecks DJ features an option for automatically adjusting the tempo for each of the two songs, to make them sound right when they are played together. Effects can be applied to each of the songs, like echo, delay or flanger. There is also a cue function, for adding point inside the song, allowing the user to play the song from that point. Audio songs can be added into the program's database simply by opening them one by one or by opening a folder which contains songs.

Mixes can be recorded in real time and saved in one of the many audio formats supported by FutureDecks DJ. Inexperienced users can take advantage of the auto mixing feature, that automatically mixes two songs together, adjusting the tempo to match each other.

Pros:
It allows anyone to become a professional DJ thanks to its very easy to use interface and intuitive controls. Besides that, it includes an automatic mixing feature that fits two songs together perfectly without the user's intervention. Furthermore, mixes can be recorded in real time and saved as an audio file, having the possibility to modify its quality settings. Last but not least, the number of audio formats that can be imported into the program is quite impressive.

Cons:
The demo version doesn't allow recording mixes.
